Attendees of ComplexCon Chicago were in for a delicious treat at the SIMPLE Mobile booth.
What do savory burgers, VR, and art have in common? They were all a part of ComplexCon Chicago. This two-day spectacle brought together pop culture, music, art, food, sports, innovation, activism, and education to promote creative collaboration between influencers and the hottest brands. And SIMPLE Mobile was there for every bit of the action.
If you missed ComplexCon Chicago, which took place last month at McCormick Place, here are some highlights.
Redefining the traditional burger
SIMPLE Mobile teamed up with culinary disruptor, Chef Alvin Cailan, to give attendees a taste of what it means to redefine the world of burger construction. You may know Chef Cailan from the hottest new web series, The Burger Show, which airs on Complex's food platform, First We Feast. The show explores modern burger culture, taking viewers on a virtual road trip across America to taste some of the best burgers the country has to offer. The Burger Show also features celebrity talent, from legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk to Adam Richman of Man v. Food fame.
During ComplexCon, SIMPLE Mobile hosted a surprise "Meat & Greet" with Chef Cailan, letting attendees get up close and personal with the viral chef and host who's shaking things up in the American burger scene. A Q&A session also allowed guests to unlock Chef Cailan's brain, revealing his top burger secrets.
Burger senses tingling
The burger journey continued at the SIMPLE Mobile booth with a multisensory VR experience. Guests queued up at our sensory stations to test their senses. Equipped with an Oculus Gear VR headset and noise-cancelling headphones, participants used touch, sight, and sound to navigate through a burger-inspired perception challenge. After using their burger senses to complete the test, they were rewarded with a bottle of Simple Sauce. Guests also walked away with a custom T-shirt or tote bag.
Instagram star
Chicago native and artist Elise Swopes also joined SIMPLE Mobile onsite at ComplexCon 2019. As a visual storyteller, Swopes shared her experience at the festival and exhibition on Instagram. From the SIMPLE Mobile booth, she greeted attendees, relaxed with VIPs in the rooftop lounge, and tried out the VR Simple Sauce sensory experience.
